Prehrambeno ponašanje  u adolescenata s vazovagalnom sinkopom

Sažetak

Cilj: Ovo je istraživanje osmišljeno kako bi se istražile osobitosti prehrambenog ponašanja u adolescenata s vazovagalnom sinkopom i identificirala moguća korelacija između kliničkih podataka i nekih osobina apetita koje bi potencijalno mogle biti povezane s razvojem sinkope.
Metode: Sveukupno, 69 adolescenata s vazovagalnom sinkopom i 60 zdravih sudionika podvrgnuto je kliničkom pregledu, panelu vitamina (piridoksin, folat, kobalamin, vitamin D), testiranju homocisteina i istovremeno je popunjena ukrajinska validirana verzija Upitnika ponašanja odraslih u prehrani. U ovoj verziji ocijenjene su izvedivost, pouzdanost i valjanost. Analizirana je povezanost skala upitnika s karakteristikama sinkope.
Rezultati: Naše je istraživanje pokazalo dobra psihometrijska svojstva ukrajinske verzije Upitnika ponašanja u jedenju odraslih za procjenu prehrambenog ponašanja u adolescenata s vazovagalnom sinkopom. Naša je studija otkrila da pacijenti s vazovagalnom sinkopom manje  uživaju u hrani i imaju veći osjećaj sitosti. Lošiji odnos prema hrani bio je povezan s većim brojem  sinkopa, a veća nervoza oko hrane predviđala je dulju povijest trajanja sinkope. Loš odnos prema hrani i izbirljivo hranjenje kod adolescenata s vazovagalnom sinkopom također su povezani s nižim razinama neurotropnih vitamina i hiperhomocisteinemijom.
Zaključci: Naša analiza sugerira da bi nedostatak vitamina i autonomna disfunkcija u adolescenata s VVS-om mogli biti povezani s poremećajima prehrane. Jedan od mogućih pristupa prevenciji i liječenju je pružanje edukacije o prehrani za pacijente sa sinkopom. Kliničari bi trebali biti svjesni utjecaja ponašanja u ishrani, što bi moglo pomoći u sprječavanju budućih napada sinkope i napredovanja bolesti.
