The large number of paediatric patients with oncological problems requires an intensive care unit because of the complications of oncology therapies. These complications such as infectious problems, respiratory, cardiovascular, and renal insufficiency may require long and expensive treatments. The number of organ dysfunctions is the best prognostic factor of survival.
