Traumatic shoulder dislocations are common in adults but rarely occur in children before adolescence. Concomitant injuries of the axillary artery are extremely rare. We report on a case of a 14-year-old boy with anterior shoulder dislocation and signs of vascular compromise of the injured arm. Following initial workup, shoulder reposition was performed under general anesthesia. Radial pulse was absent before, during and after reposition. We performed color-doppler and multislice computed tomography angiography. In our report, we present diagnostic workup and surgical treatment of the axillary artery injury. On control examination one year after the accident, the patient had normal neurovascular status of both arms.
